First Post of 2012 (It’s about time)
Well, where do I start. We are now into the year 2012 and it does not feel much different from 2011.
We still have the same political mess, the economy is still trying to make a comeback, if they will let it, and I’m still working on a new career , no I am not training to be an astronaut.
Part of my new role in life is to take care of two new puppies, Lou and Tina,
These were early shots of the kids, right before they arrived, newer shots will arrive soon. Laura is busy with here real estate work and the kids are being kids. Besides all this Laura is still volunteering for Support for families with disabilities, serving on the governors board, and I still work on the website for the Janet Pomeroy Center. Even though I do not have a web design business anymore, it sure feels like I’m doing more web work now.
About four months ago I joined a great club known as the Cenacolo Club, they meet once a week for lunch at Fior di Italia, with guest speakers that interest all with talks that can range from the waterways of ancient Rome, to new adaptations of Opera productions.The members are highly educated and diversified in profession and expertise. It is a great learning experience for me not only with the speakers but talking to the members is an education in itself. Being one of the younger members at first made me nervous, but after ten minutes into the first lunch I attended that was all gone.
I’ll get back to all of you sooner than last time, and I will add some food and entertainment items also (maybe?)
Summer is Over!
Well the summer is over so the weather is San Francisco is getting warmer. Even though some women will not wear white after Labor day, even though this is the time for that stuff here. All the new TV shows are about to show up and most likely bore us, disgust us, and other sensation.
Our Wonderful Political Parties
Well here we go again with one party proving that they are more nerotic and self-centered than the other. Now we have a compromise but still Medicare gets hit and the filthy rich don’t get taxed! Well thats how it should be right? The same group who moved all the jobs overseas to the land of the cheap, should be the ones who get the tax brakes and then take away from the the ones who lost the jobs. But it is ok because this has been happening for thousands of years and at least we know that the human race is consistent. It dose make me feel good that politicians are still as corrupt and inhuman as they always have been. Just like the Who wrote years ago “Here comes the new boss, same as the old boss! But we still get fooled again!
What a Summer
Boy have you noticed what a great summer we are having! It is colder and wet and is more like January, not like our normal slightly overcast San Francisco summer. That brings us back to that global warming mumbo jumbo. Is it going to start to snow soon?

Nuclear Nightmare
Well first there was a strong earthquake and tsunami and now they get hit with a possible nuclear meltdown. Now we must think about what if and when will it happen here. Some of these reactors are over 40 years old, so how long are they safe to run. Another bad thing is that the same design as other plants that are in use in the United States. What is going to be the answer to cool these reactors? There latest attempt is to use a water cannon to get water into the tanks surrounding the core rods. We have to keep an eye on this and learn from this to understand on how to deal with this type of disaster that might happen in the future. Well hopefully they will be able to cool down the reactors, and avoid a full meltdown and limit the amount of radioactive damage that will contaminate the land for a longtime
